Refurbishment of LPG vessels
Our Leicestershire site has a semi-automated process that can salvage even the most derelict of vessels. Its central location keeps the cost of transporting vessels to a minimum, and the facility can be visited by prior arrangement, so you can see first hand the level of work we can offer.
When a vessel arrives onsite for refurbishment it is inspected externally to ensure it is fit for purpose and ultrasonic readings are taken around the surface. It is then degassed and the valves are stripped and the threads are cleaned and calibrated. The vessel is then cleaned and inspected internally, before hood studs are fitted and the legs are straightened if necessary.
The vessel is placed in a shot blast machine before a zinc powder base coat is applied and then part cured in an oven. The vessel is then wet painted and new valves, hood and logos are added.
